Meeting with His Excellency Fernando Nogales Alvarez

Sen. the Hon. Hassel Bacchus, Minister of Digital Transformation met with His Excellency Fernando Nogales Álvarez, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Trinidad and Tobago on January 28, 2022.

H.E Fernando Nogales Álvarez, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Trinidad and Tobago, met with Sen. the Hon. Hassel Bacchus, Minister of Digital Transformation, and a team from the Ministry today, towards a discussion surrounding priorities of the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Spanish experience in Digital IDs and digital provision of public services.

Among the items discussed was the Digital for Development Hub for Latin America and the Caribbean (D4D Hub), launched on December 14, 2021 signifying a critical step in EU-LAC digital cooperation through multi-stakeholder dialogue aimed at bolstering the EU-LAC Digital Alliance founded on digital entrepreneurship, innovation and a human-centric model of digital transformation.
